Neo Kian Guan Confectionary & Cake was founded in 1932. Our first shop was located at Yio Chu Kang, near Jalan Kayu. As Jalan Kayu was a Hokkien enclave, our initial focus was mainly on Hokkien confectionary.

Gradually, Teochew confectionary became our secondary business as walk-in customers were mainly Teochew Chinese who passed by Upper Serangoon Road to get to Pasir Ris and Tampines Road.
